QubiMap (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “this application”) is a Geographic Information System (GIS) software program developed and operated by QubiMap H.K Limited. We fully understand the importance of your personal information and will make every effort to ensure its security and reliability. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) is intended to explain how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our services, as well as the ways we provide for you to access, update, control, and protect this information.

Location information Rough and precise locations generated based on IP address, GNSS, Wi-Fi status, Wi-Fi parameters, Wi-Fi list, SSID, BSSID, and base station information. To perform positioning, route planning, and navigation. When the application runs in the background, we also collect this information to ensure track recording and navigation.
Logs Time, duration, views, clicks, and search records when you use our services. To improve user experience, troubleshoot issues, and analyze user behavior.
Account information Email address provided during signup (used to receive verification codes). To create your account, enable identity verification, and send important notifications.
Device permissions Microphone (for voice communication), camera (for adding photos to maps), storage (for saving data to the device), Bluetooth (for connecting with third-party positioning devices), accelerometer (for the phone shaking function), network (for account login and map browsing). To provide the corresponding specific functions.

Please note: We do not collect personal information that is unrelated to the provision of our services. If you wish to cancel your account, you may apply on the official website under User Management > Account Security. The system will delete all data associated with the account.


2. How We Use Personal Information

The information we collect may be used for some or all of the following purposes:

  • To provide you with the services such as map browsing, positioning, navigation, and route planning.
  • To process your signup and login requests.
  • To perform identity verification, security protection, and anti-fraud monitoring.

3. Information Storage and Cross-Border Transmission

3.1 Storage Location

We will store and process your personal information on the servers located in Hong Kong.

3.2 Cross-Border Transmission

Since our servers are located in Hong Kong, when you use our services in other countries/regions, your personal information will be transmitted to Hong Kong. In such cases, we will take the following measures to ensure that your personal information receives equivalent protection in accordance with the applicable data protection laws (including the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, etc.):
